March Newsletter

We can hardly believe it’s already March! This year is flying by at record speed. In this month of St. Patrick’s Day, we are feeling awfully lucky to be spending our days with a bunch of little leprechauns! We are having a great year, and the spring will surely bring even more fun, growth, and learning to preschoolers.

Our unit of study this month is Colors and Rainbow! We will learn how rainbows form? We will be doing a group work to decorate our Bulletin board. The color spectrum will be explored through many wonderful books, art creations, and many discovery-based science lessons. We have new songs “Rain, Rain Go Away”, “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring”, “The Rainbow Connection” and more. Our experiences include Rainbow painting, Rainbow collage, Paperchain Rainbow, Rainbow flowers and many more! I feel rainbows hold magic and promise, and when we see them, I think even as adults we feel a bit happier, I may be more excited than the students!

For a multicultural focus we are going to learn about an Indian festival Holi (The festival of colors).

St. Patrick’s Day is on March 17. Scavenger hunt will be the best part of the day! Please wear green on that day.

Important Reminder: Registration is open March 1 for the returning families. Dates to remember: Teacher’s Convention- March 3 – March 4 (No school) Spring Break-March 25 – March 29 Discovery Time Team
